5Rob came to my company, Adactus, and gave a session on the basics of using LinkedIn. As a recent job mover I felt I was a reasonably confident LinkedIn user however the session that Rob led gave me greater insight into the benefits of having a full profile set up and he explained some great tips, such as getting the personalised URL. The biggest benefits from the session with was the impact of having a decent company page, both from the point of getting new prospects and recruitment. There is a lot of work for the team at Adactus to do to make the company page up to the level required however Rob knew his stuff and gave excellent guidance on what to focus on to have the greatest benefit. 5I attended one of Rob’s Social Media Workshops today. I was very impressed with the amount of knowledge Rob managed to impart over a period of 4 hours - actually it seemed like a couple of hours, not 4, which I think is a reflection of the degree of engagement achieved.
He is doubtless quite an authority on the subject, covering a broad range of social media areas and answering impromptu questions with clarity, clearly based on a good deal of expertise. I’d highly recommend Rob to those who would like to understand how to harness “Social Media” for commercial benefit.

A good mix of people and interesting networking angle, I enjoy this departure from usual network topics as I do enjoy various networking groups and learning from industry peers however is good to approach things from a different point of view. There was time to network though I didn’t manage to get to talk to everyone I wanted to, perhaps some sort of mixer event could work? The organisation & venue were first class. My only other comment would be that there was not much time to mingle between speakers, so maybe go with 2 guests rather than 3 next time.

I thought that I was fairly ‘au fait’ with LinkedIn but Rob showed me some new aspects of the tool which I have not previously been aware, specifically the use of personal notes against my contacts. 5Great work on creating these very inexpensive forms of advertising. I have been tweeting, and blogging these from my youtube posting of the videos. I believe it is helping to create a strong authority position for my local WSI business on the web.
I feel like I am just scratching the surface of what videos can do for search engine results.
I have created a few simple powerpoint type videos for a client in the home improvement, and it is starting to get multiple page 1 impressions in SEO searches. These videos are showing up on page 1 results as well as his regular landing pages. So videos do add excellent searchable material for the web, when you leverage them with keyword content. You are helping us further exploit a valuable resource on the web. Thanks.

5I think the videos are great branding tools and, by being a monthly release, they provide consistency when I post ‘my’ personalized video.
It’s obvious that I do not create them but there is a subtle reinforcement that I have access to resources who can. I am not a SME on YouTube so I can’t say my uploads are click-simple but everything else about the process of doing business with Rob’s team is.
I hope Rob can continue providing this arrow to the IC quiver. For new (and not so new) IC’s, I highly recommend this as the best investment of $36 each month you can make. If you find a better use, let me know and I’ll drop Rob likea hot potato.

4I attended the launch event and thought that there was a good mix of people in attendance. The formula worked well as people were allowed to mingle and chat freely. The speakers came across well. The location worked well as too often you feel cramped for space and struggle to hear yourself think let alone talk. There was plenty of open space and it appeared to run very smoothly. 5This is a great idea and I love the concept. I LOVE that there is a reasonably priced source for us to put our educational, good quality and REALLY appreciate your efforts. I have some questions on this. How do we handle that there will be 100’s of duplicate videos out on YouTube on the same topic with slightly varying titles and a good portion of the description being verbatim if IC’s are smart and put the script of the video into the description, which I see you did? Is the purpose to simply inform our clients and put the videos on our website?

5I’ll add my two cents. I’ve signed up for the monthly subscription and ordered several back catalogue items.
I also have the capability (iMovie, access to Adobe Premere and After Effects), and just don’t have the time (or creative skill) to develop such high quality, customized videos. They are well worth the price, especially with THO underwriting the production costs.
I would encourage every IC to consider subscribing. This is the kind of promotional material that we should be getting as part of a franchised system - and now are!

For too long, ICs around the world have needed to continually reinvent the wheel to compensate for the lack of output from THO.
No wonder there has been little consistency in ICs’ marketing and the consequent dilution of the WSI brand.

5I’ve got all the kit to make videos and keep intending to do it but every time I try it’s always harder that I expect it to be, and so far I’ve not got one completed. To have videos of this quality personalised for use on our sites, blogs, and other online properties is a massive help.
I put the first video on my blog a week ago and have already had good feedback on LinkedIn and my blog. For £25 this is a no brainer and offers real value, something that is often lacking in some WSI initiatives. Well done to Rob for getting this done and well done to THO for supporting it. I am very grateful. Long may it continue.

4I attended one of Rob’s LinkedIn Masterclasses yesterday at Business West. It was probably the most balanced and informative 2.5 hours that I have spent on the subject and have come away with a much better understanding. To that aim, I now have an timely Action Plan - which he has already followed up (without seeking me taking on his services etc) and shall be following through as best I can. In summary, a morning of my valuable time well spent, learning and being advised, on what and how to do things correctly, in the company of like-minded business people. Highly recommended.

5I found the consultation extremely useful and insightful - even if it clarified in our minds that I just do not have the time going forward to give enough time and attention to social media for the current business model. However, it will be very beneficial to the new business model.
I will definitely be implementing the suggestions regarding advising where I will be on specific days and what I will be selling. I will look into Twitter but at the moment I am not sure whether this will be of benefit to the business as a market trader.

5I recently attended a social media strategy workshop led by Rob and found it to be very insightful - it was a great starting point from which to now construct a social media plan for our company. I particularly like his introduction video that neatly highlight the areas he’s developing further in the presentation. 5I attended a Mobile Marketing workshop presented by Rob and he was able to present quite sophisticated concepts in an easy to understand manner. There were a number of action points that I was able to take away and hope to implement and would recommend that anybody who is looking at the mobile web should attend one of Rob’s workshops.
