I just wanted to pass on a huge thank you to physio Chris! I started seeing him at the beginning of this year following an ACL tear from a skiing accident and I worked with him all the way up to and following ACL repair surgery. Immediately I was impressed. Chris was kind, knowledgeable, and explained things to me in a way I could understand. I had a goal to complete the Athens Marathon this November and because of his expertise I finished the race last weekend! I wouldn’t have been able to recover fully or even come close to reaching my goal without those months of rehab. Thank you Chris for helping me do the things I love again! Up next- skiing! :)
All the best,
Sarah

5A big thank you to all at t the centre especially Hazel who was able to arrange a short notice appointment for me with Patrick Lineham. I had an ingrown toenail which had been infected and was extremely painful. I was seen, assessed and two days later underwent nail surgery.. I am now pain free and very much on the mend.
Patrick is very thorough and totally professional as a podiatrist and I would recommend him without doubt especially if, like me you suffer from circulation problems.
Thank you Patrick and all at the centre.

5What a fantastic service! I had quite a bad case of back pain and tried a number of physio places, but was not happy with them at all. Then I found Jane Morris clinic and requested 8 sessions of osteopath treatment with her. I have to say I couldn’t have picked a better clicic. Jane is very knowledgeable, highly experienced and professional. When treating me she was using a range of techniques, including physio, accupuncture, advice on home excercises etc. She was carefully listening to my description of pain and with each treatment she was ‘unlocking’ my back section by section. It was amazing to see by how much my mobility was increasing after each session. I am now back to normal and can’t thank Jane enough for her help. I would also like to thank the ladies at reception (Hazel in particular, who I was mainly dealing with), who are so very kind, polite and make Customers feel welcome.

5In June 2016 I had to undergo quite complex surgery to repair a shoulder injury… The physio I saw, Sarah Massey, saw my shoulder as an interesting challenge. It was evident that she did a lot of homework researching what the surgeon had done. In her own time, Sarah even attended lectures given by my surgeon relating to new techniques and procedures. I first saw Sarah in August, and we agreed that it would be a great target for me to be recovered to the point where I was able to swim on holiday in November. I was misson accomplished and I was able to swim over 400 metres in the sea. That was beyond my expectations.
I cannot recommend Sarah enough.

5I have seen Jane Morris on various things for the last 20 years. I had pelvic problems after being very heavily pregnant 19 years ago, and Jane was able to sort me out make walking bearable and then after a few treatments all sorted. I went back to Jane this time last year and once again had amazing treatment and given lots of advice as to how to make things better. I haven’t needed to go back since last October and all is well. Many thanks Jane, the whole team is just fantastic. I cant praise you enough. If it was a 10 star rating you would get 10⁄10 Absolutely brilliant ! Thank you.

5I would like to retell the story of my back problem. In 2003 I was told that I needed an operation on my back. A friend suggested that I try acupuncture. I had suffered with back trouble for fifteen years and had just spent six weeks lying on the living room floor unable to stand or sit.
My left heel was constantly cold and extremely painful, yet minutes into the first treatment I could feel warmth flowing through my foot, and had no more pain in it. Two days after my first visit I was able to return to work.
I recommend everyone I know with problems to visit Wendy as I have absolute faith in her expertise and will be forever grateful to her for enabling me to live my life again. I now have acupuncture every two months and have had no further problems.

5I would like to say thank you to the centre for organising the Mindfulness Course. The classes have been thoroughly enjoyable! It has been fascinating to learn about this discipline and transfer the practice to my everyday life. With some hard work, dedication, and of course the classes, you will start to slow down and appreciate life more, as well as feeling less stressed in your everyday life. I have been so impressed I’m intending to book straight on the next one. Thank you James

5I’m almost half way through Mindfulness classes at the Centre. With a busy family life and a demanding job, I wanted a way to slow down, relax and enjoy life more. The two hour class on Tuesday night is now one of the highlights of my week! I’m enjoying learning how to live more in the moment, appreciate the small things in life and shrug off everyday stresses and strains more easily. I would definitely recommend this course. All you need is an open mind and a commitment to 20 minutes practice a day. What have you got to lose?

4I think Emma (physiotherapist) in her work, treatment and exercises for dealing with my pain. It’s been a pleasure knowing her and I will recommend her to others as she has done wonders for me,
Rating:
5My physio was very easy to talk to, fun and easy going and made treatment not as bad as I thought it would be I really appreciate all the work Emma put into making my hand better.
Rating:
4Emma was absolutely great. She did exercises and treatments that I had no thought of for therapy. These treatments have finally got the pain in my knee to subside to a tolerable level to allow me to strengthen my knee. She fully explained each exercise thoroughly so I knew what the exercise was and what the benefits were. Her knowledge, assessment and treatments are the best that I have experienced in my six years of having this issue, including my treatments with the U.S. military. I couldn’t thank her enough for the care and treatment I have received here. I wish there were physiotherapists like her back in the U.S.

5I was treated by Hasnain for about 12 months for repetitive strain injury. Working freelance, I was quite concerned about my job as it involved many hours a day at my keyboard. If I don’t write, I don’t earn! Hasnain was incredibly patient, polite and professional. The persistence paid off finally as I am now virtually pain free and no longer worry about how I’m going to get through another day at work. Thank you Hasnain and also Hazel for your friendly welcome on each visit.

5I’ve been seeing Vida for a number of months now for varying treatments. - mainly issues with my lower back. She has an amazing ability to pinpoint specific areas that need attention, whether that be manipulation, massage, acupuncture or strapping. She’s an absolute godsend!

4Vida is amazing. She knows where it hurts on your body before you do. I have gone into her consulting room unable to move, and come out walking upright. She’s a lovely lady!”

5I found my therapy session to be very effective and completed my goal of strengthening my left knee. Emma and the centre were very flexible with scheduling my appointments. I highly recommend Emma to anyone.

5The time I spent with Roy in the UK last year was both fascinating and enlightening. With minimal effort he had me moving and standing comfortably and with minimal strain on my body. He was able to get me to do a full squat without effort and with no discomfort, something I hadn’t done for years, if ever. The Alexander Technique will benefit anyone whether they are an elite athlete or whether they just wish to live life without the aches and pains that many people suffer and accept as part of life. It is a pity that these techniques are not shown to us all at an early age for I have no doubt that this would alleviate many of the causes of ill health in our communities.

5Wendy has performed a miracle for me! I feel I have made a complete recovery, I am absolutely amazed at the speed of the recovery. I have to admit I was sceptical about acupuncture’s ability to do anything for me in the shprt term given the amount of pain I was in. I was hardly able to walk! What you have done is nothing short of amazing and I cannot thank you enough!

5I first met Jane when I had a problem with shoulder/back pain. After experiencing a very painful shoulder/back my GP advised me to see an Osteopath. Before Jane’s treatment I could hardly walk and get out of bed that morning, but after Jane’s thorough assessment & Osteopathic treatment my pain was less intense and after a number of treatments totally disappeared. Jane’s assessment highlighted the fact I’d been sitting at my lap top for much longer than normal, and my body had started to resist this. After a change of chair and completing daily exercises, which Jane recommended, my pain has never returned.
I’m also a sufferer of migraines and after being struck with a particularly bad one, I went to Jane for treatment. I was experiencing low energy, painful sinuses, feeling nauseous and looking very pale! As Jane started to treat me I could feel the pain becoming less intense. I can honestly say after all the pills I had taken for this migraine I felt Jane’s Acupuncture session was like a miracle cure! I could actually function as normal for the rest of the day and had the best night sleep ever that evening!
I could not recommend Jane highly enough! Her skill in multiple disciplines is first class and her gentle & caring nature makes you feel totally at ease. Jane is an asset to the Centre for Complementary Health.

5I row. I have done off and on since the age of 12. My more recent period of competitive rowing started at the end of 2008 when I was the age of 36. I hadn’t done any long term serious training and competitions since 1997. This time with the new technology, my lack of knowledge on posture, and my weak core, I soon had several injuries that would last for up to 5 month periods.
I tried several medical/physical professionals but it wasn’t until I came to the Centre for Complementary Health that the long battle of back problems turned a corner. In 2011 I started seeing Jane whom I had regular visits with. She worked on my back and hips and I started doing core exercises recommended by her. It soon got to the point that visits had become very rare although pain was an on-going issue and I kept a very intensive exercise routine to re awaken and strengthen muscles.
Jane then recommended that my next step was to see a Physio. I started sessions with Chris and we worked on further development of areas of weakness and pain. I still have a way to go but I have had 18 months injury free training and competing and I am now back to a high level of competitiveness. I have won several good races so far this year. I came fourth at the Nationals (just missing out on a bronze). I now look forward to greater success and improvement, and I have the Centre for Complementary Health to thank for it.

5From November 1996 to May 2007, I was a carer from my late mother. I worked for full-time for most of that time, was a long distance commuter and from 2003 a special constable. How I did, I will never know completely. But a large part was due to Jane and her team at the centre for complimentary medicine.
The centre not only patched me up, dealing with my own many and increasing health issues. They also gave me incredible emotional support. It is a testimony to the complementary medicine centre that I am both still alive and remarkably healthy today.
